Creative Director - Innovation Strategist - Facilitator

Chas Martin creates change. By reframing questions, challenging assumptions, and opening doors to new ideas, he guides individuals and teams to envision innovative possibilities. Martin generates concepts and scenarios for new products, new markets, new services and new processes for clients seeking breakthrough strategies. 

Martin has provided creative leadership for a wide range of organizations, including SAS Institute, Sprint, U.S. Marine Corps Center for Business Excellence, Parker Brothers Games, Cutter Laboratories, and Tektronix. Additional projects include HP, InFocus, and Intel. He has also assisted multiple startups in defining potential, expanding options and achieving goals.

As an art director, writer, and eventually creative director, his career path has taken him from marketing communications to interactive entertainment to online and classroom education. These paths converge as a foundation for resourcefulness and imaginative problem solving.

As a team builder, leader and mentor, he encourages inclusion of diverse personalities, values and perspectives within project teams. Through informal, sometimes unstructured activities, he inspires intersectional thinking, parallel thinking and lateral thinking to achieve unconventional results. 

Martin is a former instructor at Boston Art Institute, Academy of Art University (San Francisco ). Pacific Northwest College of Art and Northwest Academy (Portland).

Martin is a former instructor at Boston Art Institute, San Francisco Academy of Art College, Pacific Northwest College of Art and The Northwest Academy. He also publishes his observations on leadership, innovation, and management as a contributor to VISIONS, a publication of the Product Development and Management Association
